The Parish Safeguarding Committee in the parish of Cobh meets on a quarterly basis to review and discuss issues concerning best practise regarding Child Safeguarding in the Parish.
The members of the Committee are Frank Donovan (Chairman and Safeguarding Representative), Rose Clancy (Secretary), Martha Hurley (Safeguarding Representative), Theresa Jones, Tim Murphy, Mairead Kearney, Fr McCarthy, Fr McDermott, Fr Kelleher, Fr O Donoghue.
At present the parish is updating Garda Vetting as determined by the Diocese for all volunteers and ministers who minister to vulnerable adults and all those who volunteer with children in the parish.

This is to certify that, based on the criteria of the Parish Audit November 2016, the parish of Cobh is fully compliant with the safeguarding children requirements of the Diocese of Cloyne and thereby fully compliant with the standards laid down by the National Board of Safeguarding Children in the Catholic Church in its Standards and Guidance Document for the Catholic Church in Ireland.
