National Flower Festival

 

The National Flower Festival will be taking place from 27th-29th September

at St. Colman’s Cathedral Cobh.

This fundraising event for Pieta House, will be a beautiful spectacle and worth a visit.

Flowers will adorn the whole Cathedral for the weekend.

Festival Admission is €10.

August 2019 marks the Centenary of the Solemn Dedication of St Colman’s Cathedral, Cobh, County Cork, the Cathedral Church of the Diocese of Cloyne.

To mark the occasion, Bishop William Crean will be presiding at a special Diocesan Mass taking place at the Cathedral at 3.00 pm on Sunday August 25th. Archbishop Jude Thaddeus Okolo,

Adrian Gebruers will present a special recital on our Cathedral Carillon next Wednesday 21st August

from 4.30 to 5.30 p.m. to mark National Heritage Week.

This Sunday afternoon (4 August), our Cathedral Carillonneur will be joined by his youngest students, granddaughters Amy and Ella Gebruers, in a recital of solos and duets.  As always, the hour-long recital commences at 4.30 and can be viewed on the screen located within the Cathedral.
