Festival of Flowers

A Flower Festival was held at St.Colman’s Cathedral, Cobh from September 19th-21st . Entitled “History, Dreams and Memories”, it was an great success, bringing many visitors to our Cathedral and raising a substantial amount of money for our organ restoration fund. The great amount of time and effort given by those involved was much appreciated

Commemoration of all the Faithful Departed

 

 

 

 

All Souls Sunday 2nd November we commemorate the souls of all the faithful departed. There will be prayers in cemeteries that day, after 9.30am Mass in Ballymore, at 2.30pm in the Old Church cemetery and at 3.30pm in St. Colman’s cemetery. Masses for the f aithful departed: Envelopes and inserts are placed at the Church door

Confirmations 2015

We are happy to announce that the Confirmations for 2015 will take place on Saturday April 18th. With the kind permission of Bishop Crean it has been agreed that there will be two ceremonies on the day, one at 10.00 am and the other at 12.30 pm. There are over 200 children eligible for Confirmation from our schools this year.

Festival of Flowers

We wish to thank Cobh Horticultural and Flower Club for the hugely successful Festival of Flowers that took place in the Cathedral. There was a great response from the public and all agree that it was a wonderful occasion which gave great pleasure and inspiration.
